Practical measures to prevent and manage insecticide, fungicide and herbicide resistance for horticultural crops

This factsheet outlines how the repeated use of insecticides, fungicides and herbicides if not properly managed, can result in the development of resistant pest, pathogen and weed populations. It inlcudes:

  • details of known cases of resistance (up to 2013) likely to cause problems in controlling a range commonly occuring pests, diseases and weeds on horticultural crops in the UK
  • guidance on how to prevent resistant strains developing.

The information was updated in 2013.
