AHDB Horticulture Board

The AHDB Horticulture Board was dissolved in March 2023. During its’ last 18 months it had oversight of the horticulture activity wind-down process.

The AHDB Horticulture Board was at the heart of AHDB’s decision-making for horticulture. It decided what programmes of work were needed to support the industry, as well as what recommended levy rate was needed to fund that work. It normally met five times a year. Selection and appointment of the members of the board was carried out by the Board of AHDB through an open appointments process. Board members were appointed for a three-year term. The Chair, who was also an AHDB Board Member, was appointed by Defra.
