About this project

The aim of the scheme was to encourage students to take up 12 month industry placements within the horticultural sector with a long term view of them considering horticulture as a viable, flourishing and exciting option for their future career.

The Bursary covered some of the costs of the final year tuition and covered up to 14 bursaries over the three years of operation.

Any student enrolled on a UK based undergraduate degree that included an industry placement in the area of horticulture was eligible to apply to the scheme.  The industry placement had to be with a recognised horticultural business and agreed by all parties for the application to be valid.
